Healthwatch is the new way for local people to have a real say in improving and changing local health and social care services as well as helping people get the best out of such services.
Local Healthwatch wants to hear about the issues that are affecting the members of the community; about the things that are wrong, the things that are good and the things that need improving.
If they receive several concerns regarding the same issue they can take these to Service Providers, Commissioners of Services. local authorities and also to Healthwatch England who can identify national trends.
Your experiences will help Healthwatch identify changes which need to be made to local health and social care services.
Do you have a recent issue or concern about health or social care services that you would like to tell Healthwatch about? This can relate to a positive or negative experience.
You can contact them by phone or email or complete the online form on the respective Healthwatch website.
Each Local Authority has a Healthwatch team.
